Bontang Mayor to sign ?oil deal? with Jakarta today

East Kalimantan?s Bontang Mayor Sofyan Hasdam is scheduled to meet with the central government in Jakarta today to formally sign a new ?map,? which will put the Kedindingan oil field and Melahin oil field under the mayoralty administrative area.
Sofyan told the local Metro Balikpapan daily that the Bontang mayoralty would receive some Rp 150 billion (US$1=Rp8,800) in additional revenue from the two oil fields which produce 15 billion barrel of oil per day, and 5 billion barrel equivalent of gas per day.
Sofyan said that he would also meet with several ministers in Jakarta to discuss various other problems.(*)
