Italy’s Eni has signed a long-term liquefied natural gas sales agreement with Thailand’s Gulf Development Company, marking its first multi-year LNG supply contract into the Thai market.
Eni said on Thursday that it will supply 0.8 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of LNG to Gulf for 10 years, with deliveries to Thai regasification terminals starting in 2027. Gulf is one of Thailand’s largest private power producers.

The deal expands on a two-year agreement signed in 2024 under which Eni began supplying about 0.5 MTPA of LNG to Thailand in 2025.
The company said the new contract supports its strategy of broadening its LNG customer base in Asia and diversifying global sales. Eni aims to grow its LNG portfolio to around 20 MTPA by 2030, supported by projects in Congo, Mozambique, the United States, Indonesia and other countries.
