The House of Representatives factions are expected to convene today to give their final words on the country?s new oil and gas bill today (Thursday).
The bill is expected to be approved at a plenary session on Oct. 23.
A source said that although most factions would likely to give approving remarks, but one small faction may continue to reject the bill.
The government-proposed oil and gas bill will liberalize the country?s oil and gas sector.
The small but vocal PDKB faction has previously objected to the launching of the new oil and gas bill, saying that the country was not yet ready for the opening up of the oil and gas sector with a consequence of price differential of the commodity in various parts of the country.(Arry)
