Jero Wacik to appoint new names for ministry?s senior posts

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Jero Wacik is preparing a shake-up at the ministry?s top posts. A number of names have emerged to take over the senior positions, a source told Petromindo.com Friday.

Edi Hermanto, currently the Secretary of the Directorate General of Oil and Gas, will take over the director general position from Evita Legowo who?s extended-term will end in December of 2012, according to the source.

R. Sukhyar, Head of the Geological Agency at the ministry, will replace Thamrin Sihite as the Director General for Minerals and Coal. Thamrin will enter pension early next year.

Ign Sutiastoto, an expert staff of the minister, will take over the position of director general of renewable energy and energy conservation from Kardaya Warnika who will enter pension September 2012.

Jajang Soekarna will become the new Head of Research and Development Agency at the ministry. He currently hold the position of head of the ministry?s training center.

Meanwhile, the new Secretary General of the ministry will be Indriyati, and the new head of the training center will be Hadi Purnomo, the source said.
