Krakatau Posco to run smelter's production test in 2013

PT Krakatau Posco, a joint venture company between PT Krakatau Steel Tbk and POSCO Korea is expected to start production test of its smelter facility at end of next-year.
Fazwar Bujang, President Commissioner of PT Krakatau Steel POSCO told Petromindo.com on the sidelines of Kalimantan Coal Conference that the construction of the project has reached about 35 percent.
Fazwar said the company was still assessing the source of coking coal supply on whether it will be from Indonesia or imports.
"We have started conducting due dilligence with some potential suppliers," he said adding that the smelter facility has capacity of 3 million ton per year.
