Muhammadiyah, V-Green to build 1,300 EV charging stations in C. Java

Islamic mass organization Muhammadiyah through its Central Java regional leadership unit (PWM Central Java) and Vietnamese firm V-Green will build 1,300 electric vehicle charging stations across 35 regencies and cities in Central Java to support electric vehicle adoption and create business opportunities for micro, small and medium sized enterprises (MSMEs).
PWM Central Java Chairman Tafsir said the partnership is expected to contribute to the development of a green economy while expanding environmentally friendly energy infrastructure in the province.
V-Green Indonesia Chief Executive Officer Edison Mai Truong Giang said the company is open to broader cooperation with Muhammadiyah in electric vehicle market development, industry and technology.
Construction will be carried out in phases, beginning with site surveys at 115 locations scheduled to start next week.
