Outotec sees big opportunity into Indonesia

Australia-based provider of leading technologies and services for sustainable use of natural resources Qutotec recently opened its Indonesian office to further support the company?s business expansion in Indonesia.

Through its Indonesian unit PT Outotec Technology Solutions, the Australian company would help Indonesia to develop its world class resource industry in a sustainable way especially the country?s mining downstream processing.

"Indonesia is South East Asia's largest economy with a strong long term growth outlook. Through our industry leading technologies we want to make a strong contribution to sustainable development of Indonesia's mining and metallurgical industry. The Indonesian market offers attractive growth opportunities for Outotec,? Pertti Korhonen, CEO and President of Outotec, said during the opening of the Indonesian office last week (May 2).

The new office in Jakarta will focus on driving sales in the growing Indonesian market, supporting project implementation and providing services to Outotec's customers.

Outotec began its business in Indonesia by conducting a joint study with state owned mining company PT Antam in 2012 for the construction of Indonesia?s first aluminum smelting plant. (*)
