Paper says major shake up at Pertamina to take place soon

State oil and gas company Pertamina?s current board of executives including president director Baihaki Haki will be replaced, Republika daily reported on Tuesday.

?By November, this year, Pertamina?s management including Baihaki Hakim will be replaced,? Husni Thamrin, a member of the House of Representatives (DPR) was quoted as saying.

He said that the major shakeup in the management of Pertamina had been informally discussed in the House. For the House members, the management shakeup is positive, he said, adding that the current management had failed to improve the state oil and gas company?s operation.

The failure of the current management, according to Thamrin, included their inability to raise the production of the state oil and gas company. (*)
