The state oil firm Pertamina plans to hand over 14 cases of corruption, collusion and nepotism, or locally known KKN, to the Attorney General's Office by the end of this month.
Pertamina's spokesman Ramli Dja'far said that the 14 cases were among the 159 cases with indications of KKN. But he refused to give further details on the 14 cases.
Ramli confirmed that Pertamina had not yet formally handed over the graft cases to the Attorney General's Office, as stated by Attorney General Marzuki Darusman.
"It's true, Pertamina has never submitted the graft cases formally to the Attorney General's Office, but we submitted those cases informally last March, and asked the Attorney General's Office to help investigate the cases," he said.
Marzuki reported to the House of Representatives' Commission VIII last Thursday that that his office found indications of KKN in 34 out of the 159 projects in Pertamina his office was investigating.
Out of the 34 projects, 9 projects had reached the pre-expose stage at the Attorney General's Office with positive indications of KKN, 2 projects had been investigated but not yet entered the pre-expose stage, 2 other projects were under investigation, and 21 projects were also still under investigation, but no significant KKN indications had been found in the 21 projects.
