President Prabowo Subianto on Tuesday inaugurated 1,151 kilometers of regional roads built under the 2025 Presidential Instruction (Inpres) program across 37 provinces.
The inauguration took place in Sampang Regency, East Java, and was attended by ministers, regional leaders and community representatives.
Prabowo said regional roads play a key role in connecting agricultural, plantation, fisheries and other local products with markets, distribution centers and industrial areas.
He said improved road infrastructure is needed to reduce logistics costs and improve the movement of goods across the archipelago, supporting food security, energy security and more balanced regional development.
"We are determined that no region should be left behind because of limited access. We must reduce logistics costs for the people and the economy," Prabowo said.
The president also called on regional governments to maintain and maximize the use of the infrastructure and said the government would continue expanding support for regional and village-level infrastructure development.
Prabowo expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Public Works, local governments and other parties involved in completing the projects.
The 1,151-km road network was officially inaugurated as part of the government's 2025 regional roads development program.
