ASX-listed Robust Resources Limited confirmed further exploration success at its 77.5 percent-owned Romang Island Project in Indonesia.
Assay results from 11 shallow diamond drill holes recently completed at the Batu Hitam East prospect in the Lakuwahi Caldera showed that all holes intersected near surface zones of silver and gold mineralisation having a weighted average of 19 meters at 1.20 g/t Au Equivalent.
It said the company was in the course of evaluating extensions to the near-surface oxide and transition-zone gold-silver mineralisation.
Robust?s Managing Director Gary Lewis commented: ?We are now firmly focused on the goal of bringing a mine into production on Romang Island. As such, brownfield exploration targets such as Batu Hitam East are important as they are in close proximity to the known deposits, as can be seen in figure 3. Any gold or silver defined from this prospect can be readily incorporated into mineral resources.
?The consistent near-surface drilling intersections released here, combined with the potential of a large and strong geochemical anomaly, lends promise for growing the company?s oxide and transition mineral resources.
It said that the potential of Batu Hitam East has also been reinforced by recent detailed soil and rock geochemistry results.
