Price expectations from China were putting severe downwards pressure on Indonesian values following recent power group tender awards, although the offers reported in the market appeared to be from traders rather than producers. Offers were reported from China to be between $29.00-30.80/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for April loading geared vessels. A bid was also heard at $28.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for an April loading Supramax.
Paper
National holidays in different countries led to little paper activity being reported today. A wide market for May M42, however, was reported bid at $24.00 and offered at $29.75, having traded at $29.00 on Thursday.
