Physical

Heavy rains continue to hamper production and logistics across Indonesia's major mining regions, although many miners were said to be managing well, but increasing production was made significantly more difficult. For low-rank, deals were said to have been concluded at $44.10-44.50/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for January loading geared vessels. Further out, an offer for a geared vessel loading in February was heard at $43.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 NAR. Slightly lower c.v. material was heard offered at $45.00/t FOB, basis 4,100 GAR, for a February loading geared vessel.

 

Paper

M42 traded at $43.60 and 43.75 for January, up from $43.35 where it traded the previous day. Earlier in the day, M42 was heard bid for January at $43.50 and offered at the same level, although differences in volume stopped it trading. Further out, March was offered at $40.15, and Q1-21 was bid at $41.00. Spreads were also heard for February vs March, bid at M42 plus $1.50 and offered at plus $1.90, while, March vs April was offered at plus $1.75.
