PT Solusi Environment Asia Tbk (IDX: SOFA) said its subsidiary PT Ananta Energi Asia has been approved as a local partner in a waste to energy consortium with China’s Zhejiang Weiming Environment Protection Co. Ltd. for two national projects under Danantara.
The projects cover waste to energy facilities in Greater Denpasar and Greater Bogor, which are part of the first phase of Danantara’s national waste to energy program.
The company said the consortium structure follows Danantara’s requirement for international operators to partner with local Indonesian entities to support technology transfer and coordination with regional governments and stakeholders.
Zhejiang Weiming is one of the world’s largest waste to energy operators and generated 4.62 billion kilowatt hours of electricity from waste treatment operations in 2025, according to the disclosure.

Ananta Energi Asia was established on Feb. 5, 2026 by Solusi Environment Asia and controlling shareholder PT Asia Investment Capital, with ownership stakes of 99 percent and 1 percent respectively. The subsidiary will handle licensing coordination, engagement with regional governments, and technology transfer within the consortium.
The company said the partnership could provide long term recurring cash flow through a 30 year power purchase agreement scheme with state utility PLN at a fixed tariff of US$0.20 per kilowatt hour.
Solusi Environment Asia added that the consortium could also position the company to participate in future phases of Danantara’s waste to energy projects, which cover a pipeline of 25 cities nationwide.
